Maurice is responsible for developing and maintaining human resource strategies which will attract and retain top level employment candidates for Jackmont Hospitality, Inc. And, in so doing, assists the company with achieving its overall financial and strategic goal. Maurice is committed to structuring and cultivating a corporate style which will position Jackmont as a principal employer and create revolutionary employment programs and policies to drive the business forward.

Prior to joining Jackmont Hospitality, Maurice was Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Sara Lee Bakery Group where he was responsible for all human resource activities at 11 manufacturing facilities across the Southeast region. He has over 17 years of experience in managing Human Resources and Risk Management for Manufacturing and Distribution Operations nationally and abroad in Mexico, Costa Rica and El Salvador. He has successfully dissuaded union campaigns, and has lead contract negotiations. A career in Human Resources has been a perfect fit for Maurice’s personality. He never meets a stranger and has a genuine concern for people.

Working at Jackmont Hospitality has brought Maurice full circle in his life experiences. Becoming a part of a minority-owned company which focuses on restaurant operations and services that create an atmosphere of being the “employer and eating place of choice” in the communities in which we serve is truly fulfilling. He is a graduate of Tuskegee University.
